HPG’s Employees Give Back During ncaCPA’s Fifth Annual CPA Day of Service

RALEIGH, N.C. (September 29, 2016) ― Staff members from Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (HPG), a Triangle-based CPA firm serving the financial management needs of local, multi-state, and international businesses, as well as their owners, donated their time in support of Rebuilding Together on Friday, September 23rd in observance of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants’ (ncaCPA) fifth annual CPA Day of Service.

Rebuilding Together’s mission is to make a sustainable impact on preserving and revitalizing homes and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, from the elderly and disabled to families with children, live in warmth, safety, and independence. HPG CPAs and staff members spent the day updating and repairing an elderly woman’s home in Garner, North Carolina.

“We believe everyone deserves a safe and healthy home, and we are so pleased to have the opportunity to work with Rebuilding Together of the Triangle to help a family,” said Lauren Joyce, Audit Partner and board member of Rebuilding Together of the Triangle. “It was a wonderful experience to see the immediate impact we had on a woman’s life, and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to reinforce our commitment to our community through the CPA Day of Service.”

The goal of the CPA Day of Service is to allow members of the accounting profession to show their dedication to the cities and towns in which they live and conduct business, by providing volunteer services to a charitable organization and cause of their choosing. It also highlights the many ways they give back to their communities on a regular basis as servants within their communities and ambassadors of their profession.

The CPA Day of Service is sponsored by the ncaCPA. Staff members from nearly 300 firms are scheduled to participate in the 2016 Day of Service.
