Experience

Pete has twenty years of experience in public accounting, with an additional three years in taxation with the IRS and a tax software house. He was previously with Dinsmore Gruhl and Company P.C., CPAs outside of Boston for five years as a senior accountant, and was with a local Raleigh firm for two years before joining Hughes Pittman & Gupton, L.L.P. in September 1994. He became a partner in June 1998.

Pete has worked with clients in many industries including medical, construction, wholesale and retail, legal, non-profit, real estate, service industries and others. Pete's areas of concentration include tax planning and compliance, business consulting and financial planning for owner-managed business clients.
