Beth Traynham Named Impact Financial Leader

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 23, 2008) – Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (HPG), the largest locally owned and managed certified public accounting firm in the Triangle, announced today that partner Beth Traynham has been named 2008 Impact Financial Leader by Triangle Business Leader magazine. Traynham is listed among the top 24 prominent Triangle finance business leaders profiled in the magazine’s April 2008 issue. Impact Financial Leaders were recognized for leadership, as well as commitment to community endeavors.

“It is a great honor to be ranked among the area’s best financial leaders,” said Traynham.

Traynham is a veteran CPA with areas of concentration including corporate and individual tax, trusts, and estate and retirement planning. Her practice covers many service-based businesses, notably venture capital, real estate and healthcare providers. Traynham joined HPG in 1993, and was named partner in 1999. Seeing a need in the community, she also spearheaded adding divorce planning/litigation support to HPG’s offerings. Actively involved in non-profit and professional associations, Traynham serves as treasurer and board member of the N.C. Triangle Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and is the 2008 race finance co-chair. As a founding member of Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women, she is the recipient of the Best Professional Service Champion Award.
