Industries: Not-For-Profit

RALEIGH, N.C. (December 22, 2010) Continuing its support of the Triangle community, Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (, the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, has donated funds and toys to North Raleigh Ministries, a nonprofit organization that provides encouragement, food and emergency financial aid to North Raleigh residents.

“Local businesses such as HPG are an invaluable resource to our organization,” says Denise Crumpler, director of North Raleigh Ministries. “Their contributions serve as a lifeline and ensure we can continue to support those who are in need.”

This is the third consecutive year HPG has supported North Raleigh Ministries. Elsie Warren McLamb, HPG tax team member, has spearheaded efforts at the firm to collect financial and toy donations each year. She has also been a volunteer with NRM since 2004.

North Raleigh Ministries will use the donations to allow parents to select donated toys and clothes as gifts for their children this holiday season. The organization offers support through three venues: a crisis center, a food pantry and a thrift shop. In addition to offering toys for the holidays, North Raleigh Ministries provides back to school items for children and boxed food during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

HPG has a longstanding commitment to community involvement. In addition to its support of North Raleigh Ministries, the firm and its members have supported numerous programs and organizations that improve quality of life for Triangle residents. These include the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Habitat for Humanity, the Raleigh Food Bank, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Boy Scouts of America.
