HPG Expands Leadership Team

RALEIGH, N.C. (September 16, 2010)  Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (www.hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, announces the addition of Tim Tompkins to the firm’s leadership team. He is serving as director of business development and strategic alliances.

Tim TompkinsTompkins brings more than 20 years of business development, sales and nonprofit fundraising experience to HPG. Prior to joining the firm, he spent six years engaging companies across the Carolinas with Grant Thornton. Tompkins has also served as VP of strategic alliances with the CED, leading the creation and execution of its multi-million dollar capital campaign.

Aligning with HPG’s commitment to community involvement, Tompkins’ dedication moves beyond the office and into the community. He is a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and BandTogether, where he served as fundraising chairman and helped raise more than $1 million. Tompkins regularly volunteers with the American Heart Association and SafeChild, and is a past board president of Child Advocacy Commission of Durham and TROSA. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Leadership Orange, Leadership Durham, Leadership Triangle and Leadership North Carolina programs.
