HPG Partner Extends Term as Executive Committee Member

RALEIGH, N.C. (February 11, 2011) Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (, the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, announces today that J. Mark Livingston has been reappointed to the executive committee for an additional three years. This is his second term on the three-member committee.

Livingston has been an HPG partner for 10 years. He is the firm’s designated audit partner on file with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. Livingston co-leads the firm’s ERISA audit team with firm partner Nancy Campbell. He is also certified in production and inventory management by the Association for Operations Management. With this expertise, he is able to assist clients in production and inventory planning, cost accounting and business process improvement.

Livingston has more than 27 years of CPA experience serving growth companies and their owners. Prior to joining HPG in 2001, he worked for two national accounting and consulting firms. Livingston’s dedication moves beyond the workplace and into the community. He currently serves as treasurer of the Triangle Benefits Forum, is treasurer-elect of The Rotary Club of Raleigh, and is a member of the Triangle chapter of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the Triangle chapter of APICS, The Association for Operations Management.
