Her talk focused on international taxes and how they impact the gaming industry. A 13-year veteran in the public accounting sector, Dean leads the firm’s corporate tax practice and is co-lead of HPG’s knowledge-based industries team.

The conference, held April 7-8 at the Raleigh Convention Center and Marriott City Center, included panels, lectures and discussions on: Game Development, Engines and Middleware, Immerse Learning, Games and Media, as well as Business of Games. In its second year, the conference also included a career fair and expo where attendees met with experts and received valuable advice on careers in the gaming industry.
