HPG Partner Named to Cary Magazine’s List of Movers & Shakers

RALEIGH, N.C. (June 24, 2015) ― Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (HPG), a Triangle-based CPA firm serving the financial management needs of local, multi-state, and international businesses, as well as their owners, congratulates Adam Buchanan, firm partner, for being recognized by Cary Magazine as a Mover & Shaker. Buchanan’s award recognizes his dedication to his clients, his family, and his community.

“I am extremely proud and humbled to be recognized in this manner,” says Buchanan. It is a true honor to be included in a group of such dynamic and impactful members of our community. I am fortunate to be able to give back to a community that has given so much to me.”

Buchanan joined HPG in 2013 as a partner in the firm’s corporate tax practice focusing on large, complex multi-state taxpayers, many of whom are SEC registrant companies. His specialties include accounting for income taxes in financial statements, mergers & acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. Additionally he serves as the partner leader of the “Reaching Out” initiative, a firm-sponsored program aimed at providing a venue for younger staff to develop their professional presence and business development skills. Outside of HPG, Buchanan serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.

“Adam is truly a leader both in our firm and in the Triangle,” said Brooks Malone, HPG Partner and Executive Committee member. “As the head of several of the firm’s largest practice areas, he helps drive the growth and success of the firm from a business perspective. And as a leader of our internal Reaching Out group, he promotes the growth and success of our people. His leadership is evident in his work with Habitat for Humanity in the community as well. We are pleased to have such a forward-thinking leader as a part of our firm and the Triangle community.”
