Focusing her discussion on withholding tax issues, Dean will address Triangle financial executives from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the HPG office in Raleigh.
Dean is a 15-year public accounting veteran. Joining HPG in January 2005, she became the firm’s youngest partner in 2008. Dean manages HPG’s corporate tax practice and is co-leader of its knowledge-based industries practice. She works with clients in a variety of industries, including biomedical and pharmaceutical, software and technology development, manufacturing and distribution, and venture funds.
“The IRS has become increasingly focused on revenue lost through improper tax positions on international transactions,” says Dean. “Understanding the compliance requirements is critical, as there can be large penalties incurred for non-filing, nonpayment or delayed payment, as well as using improper withholding tax rates.”
