RALEIGH, N.C. (July 8, 2009) – Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (www.hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, announces today its sponsorship of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development Streak program. HPG will support the program as a Technology Track Sponsor.
“We are pleased to sponsor the Streak program, because it is an excellent forum for rising entrepreneurs to practice their investment pitch and receive invaluable feedback from experienced investors and advisors in the community, all in a non-threatening and confidential setting,” says Brooks Malone, partner at Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP and CED board member. “We have a long tradition of supporting CED and the entrepreneurial community. Streak is an important resource and service that we are proud to support.”
The Streak program helps early-stage, high-growth life sciences and technology companies prepare for fundraising by allowing them to have their investor presentation critiqued by a seasoned panel of investors, entrepreneurs, financial and marketing experts. Applicants must submit a business plan and investor pitch, which are reviewed by the CED to determine if the applicant is selected to present the plan to the panel for review and critique. The program provides a thorough critique of the business plan and the investor pitch in a closed-door setting.
