Jim Klein has over 30 years of experience as a senior level financial executive.  He started his career at Price Waterhouse as an auditor.  He then moved to the private sector where he spent the balance of his career, holding positions of increasing responsibility including serving as Chief Financial Officer of several companies in the life science sector. Jim was previously serving as a fractional CFO to companies in the pharmaceutical, biotech, software, engineering, and high tech industries.  Jim joined Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP in 2018.

Jim has international experience working with both public and nonpublic companies in the life science sector.  Jim’s primary focus is fractional CFO services or high-level project work.  This includes duties such as financial reporting, establishment of financial controls and systems, raising capital, manage banking relationships, debt/contract negotiations, risk management, interaction with Board of Directors, development of compensation systems, management of human resources and employee benefits.
